Zaklopatica

Lastovo is a beautiful island in the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea, located 14 km from the island of Korcula.

The island is surrounded by numerous islets and cliffs and its coast is 49 km long. The island of Lastovo belongs to the Dubrovnik – Neretva County and the largest place is the eponymous settlement of Lastovo.
The island of Lastovo, best known for its Venetian architecture from the 15th and 16th centuries, and the large number of churches on the island, is extremely small. In 2006, the island became a nature park, and the whole island is actually based on its natural environment and it attracts a large number of tourists every year.

Zaklopatica

Zaklopatica is a small populated place on the island of Lastovo, in the Dubrovnik – Neretva County.

Known for its beautiful bays and tranquility, it is a favorite place of many tourists from Croatia and the world, who want to spend their vacation far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city, and yet close enough – if you want the city.
Kručica Bay is a place in Zaklopatica where there are two smaller pebble beaches that are ideal for swimming with children. Korita beach is about 1 km away from Zaklopatica and with its clear and clean sea it offers an unforgettable swimming experience… It can be reached on foot by forest road or by your own boat, other roads are inaccessible.
Of the sights in Zaklopatica, the oldest preserved church is St. Luke, which was built in the 11th century.
It is interesting because of its pre-Romanesque features of a sacral building. It was renovated and renovated in 1954.
